Roles and permissions
Nexta uses five roles. The same user can have different roles in different businesses — you are Dueño of yours and Trabajador in a friend's, for example.

Dueño Dueño
The person who runs the business. Has full access and is the only one who sees:
- The dashboard with sales, net profit and comparative metrics.
- The billing section: change plan, download your subscription invoices, cancel.
Only the Dueño can:
- Assign the Dueño role to another team member.
- Remove another Dueño.
Don't be left without a Dueño
The system does not let you remove yourself from the business or change your own role. If you are the only Dueño, first promote someone and then transfer.
Administrador Administrador
The Dueño's right hand. Does everything operational but does not see the financial dashboard or plan billing.
Can:
- Load products, categories, extras and coupons.
- Charge at the register and operate tables.
- Manage the team (add workers, change roles) — but cannot assign Dueño.
- View reports and export them to Excel.
Trabajador Trabajador
The day-to-day cashier / waiter / barista. Only accesses the screens needed to serve customers:
- Caja (POS) — charge and open/close the register.
- Mesas — build orders, charge a table.
- Pedidos — operate the POS and check historical records.
- Gastos — record what was paid during the day (distributor, service).
- Distribuidores — consult the directory.
- Inventory count — open the count and enter what is physically there, product by product. Found in Inventario → Conteo, where they go directly.
They don't see margins, dashboard, historical reports, nor can they touch the menu.
The Trabajador counts, the Administrador applies
The Trabajador is the one who does the physical count (it's the stockroom shift), but applying it moves the stock of the whole catalog — that's why that confirmation stays with Dueño and Administrador. Within Inventario they see Movimientos, Mermas and Conteo, but not the catalog; and the count sheet is designed to be used standing up with a phone. See the count module.
Why the Trabajador doesn't see the kitchen
The Cocina (KDS) screen is designed for a tablet in the kitchen, not for the cashier at the counter. If you want a worker to see the kitchen, temporarily promote them to Administrador or use a dedicated tablet with an Administrador session.
Cliente Cliente
The person who browses the public menu. Never enters the admin panel — only sees the business's menu.
They can browse the public menu, search products and open each product's detail card.
How do you change someone's role?
DueñoAdministradorFrom Equipo:
- Find the member.
- Tap the role selector and choose the new one.
- The change is recorded in the business's activity history.
Rules:
- An Administrador cannot promote someone to Dueño — only another Dueño can.
- No one can change their own role — to prevent the business from being left without management.
- If a user is logged in when their role is changed, they see the changes when they reload the page.
How are these permissions enforced?
Screens you don't have access to don't appear in your sidebar. If someone tries to enter a restricted screen by typing the address by hand, the system responds with a "No autorizado" message and sends them back to their panel.
In other words: permissions are always enforced on the server side. The sidebar hides what you can't see, but the real protection is on the server — no one can bypass it.
