Module: Cupones
Minimum plan: STARTER
Coupons are available from the STARTER plan ($49.900 COP/month), with a maximum of 10 active coupons. PRO raises it to 100 and ENTERPRISE is unlimited. FREE has no coupons. See plans →
Coupons are promo codes that generate a discount at payment. They can be percentage-based (20% off) or fixed ($5.000 off).
Coupon attributes
| Attribute | What it's for |

| Código | What the customer types (e.g. BIENVENIDA). Unique per business. |
| Tipo | Percentage or fixed amount. |
| Valor | 20 (= 20%) or 5000 (= $5.000 depending on the type). |
| Mínimo de compra | Minimum order subtotal for it to apply (optional). |
| Máximo de usos | Number of times the coupon can be applied (optional, unlimited by default). |
| Vence el | Deadline date (optional). |
| Activo | Whether it is in use or paused. |
Validation at payment
When a code is applied, it is validated in this order:
- Does it exist and is it active?
- Has it not expired?
- Is it not depleted (reached the maximum number of uses)?
- Does the order meet the minimum purchase?
If everything is OK, it is applied. If any check fails, the corresponding message is shown to the cashier / customer.
Discount calculation
- Percentage —
subtotal × percentage ÷ 100. - Fixed amount — the exact value, but capped at the subtotal (it doesn't produce a negative total).
Important rules
- An order carries a single coupon. Two can't be combined.
- The coupon overrides any manual discount the cashier entered. The coupon is the one that counts.
- Editing a coupon does not affect orders already paid with it — invoices keep the original discount.
- Deleting a coupon doesn't touch old orders that used it.
Invoice immutability
When an order is paid with a coupon, the invoice stores:
- The exact code of the coupon applied.
- The discount amount.
Even if you later delete or change the coupon, the invoice keeps that data.
Connection with other modules
- Pedidos — coupons are applied when paying an order.
- Facturas — they store the code and the discount amount.
Who uses this module
